Once again, Sevilla midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal as the Express claim the French midfielder will be subject to a bid from the Premier League club in the coming days, amid interest from Chelsea and Manchester City according to the Daily Express.

“We will not make any movement to sell. There is no need to sell and we all know that in the club.”

Following previous links to Real Madrid, Kondogbia came out and expressed his own opinion to the Spanish press, which seemed to suggest he is set to stay with Sevilla, despite admiring Madrid interest.

“I am flattered to be linked with Real Madrid,” Geoffrey today reporters. “They are a top club, but Sevilla are fantastic for me at the moment.”

“Chelsea are also a great team with a great manager [recently appointed Jose Mourinho], so let’s wait and see what will happen after the World Cup [in Rio next summer].”

So far, club president Jose Maria del Nido has only rejected one offer for Kondogbia, as the bid was not sufficient. Del Nido admitted there was a release clause when he spoke to the press about the rejected initial bid from an unnamed club.
