Arsenal outcast Nicklas Bendtner is in talks with Turkish side Trabzonspor as he tries to secure a move away from the Emirates Stadium this summer reports Metro.

The Danish international has returned to Arsenal after completing his loan spell at Juventus last season but he has been told that he is surplus to requirements as Arsene Wenger’s serious summer clear out continues.

During his eight years at the Emirates, the lanky forward has struggled to establish himself in Wenger’s side and has featured in just 157 matches with a disappointing return of just 45 goals for the Gunners.

Bendtner is keen to leave the club this summer but his excessive wage demands have so far put off potential suitors from recruiting his services.

Trabzonspor are the latest European outfit to try and lure the 25-year-old to Turkey, with a three-year deal understood to be on the table.

Told to find a new club this summer, the Gunners are looking for around £2million for the striker while the player is apparently seeking wages around £52,000-a-week which has put off the likes of Eintracht Frankfurt and Malaga already.

Premier League newcomers Hull City are understood to be contenders for his signature as Steve Bruce eyes a reunion with the striker who he has previously signed on-loan at Birmingham and Sunderland.

However with no move seemingly materialising from the KC Stadium the only other option on the table for the Denmark international before the transfer window shuts is a transfer to Turkey.
