Out: Fernando Torres
It’s really somewhat surprising that Fernando Torres is still at Chelsea after his continued disappointing displays since joining the club for a massive £50m fee from Liverpool in 2011. Torres has just 36 goals in 139 appearances for the Blues, many of which came in last season’s Europa League triumph, as the harsh reality is that his 15 goals in the Premier League since his arrival is simply not good enough.
Although once thought of as one of the best strikers in the world, Torres is surely not going to rediscover his best form at Chelsea, and should be one of the players on his way out of the club this January, particularly if the Blues can bring in suitable replacements. Many clubs were interested in the 29-year-old Spaniard in the summer, though in the end proposed moves to the likes of Napoli and Fiorentina never amounted to anything.
