Check in to Arsenal vs Chelsea

Arsenal reportedly sent scouts to monitor Fiorentina winger Juan Guillermo Cuadrado this weekend according to TuttoMercato.

The watching Gunners representatives will no doubt have been impressed by the 25 year old Colombian’s display as Cuadrado netted twice to help Fiorentina win away to Chievo. Indeed the former Udinese man has started the season well, scoring four goals and providing two assists already this term.

Arsene Wenger could be keen to strengthen his wide attacking options given injury concerns over both Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott and also taking into account the sale of Gervinho to AS Roma over the summer.

Cuadrado moved to Fiorentina over the summer after a successful season long loan spell and is now a regular in Vincenzo Montella’s first team set-up and a player the Serie A side would not be keen on losing.

Wenger will no doubt be handed a decent cash injection in order to bring in January additions as Arsenal look to end a lengthy silverware drought.
