Former Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is back at the north London club again as the Frenchman tries to keep fit during the winter break with his Major League Side the New York Red Bulls, according to reports in the Daily Mail.

The veteran front man was spotted training with the Gunners at their London Colney base on Friday ahead of the Premier League leaders’ top-flight encounter with in-form Southampton at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon.

Henry currently has several weeks off during the MLS’ customary winter break and the one-time Arsenal skipper has often been seen returning to the north London club in the past in order to keep up his fitness levels.

The 36-year-old moved across the Pond three years ago to play for the Red Bulls, during which time Henry has been a great success, registering an impressive 42 goals and 30 assists in total in his 100 matches for the New York-based franchise, including an equally eye-catching 41 strikes in just 92 outings for the club.

However, any hopes that Arsenal fans may have had of seeing Henry back in a Gunners shirt once again are just a dream, with the forward set to return to the United States when the MLS season resumes once again next year.
