The Gunners boss has previously raided Southampton to bring in Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and was linked with an interest in Clyne before he moved to St Mary’s in July 2012.
Clyne may well jump at the chance of a move to the Emirates Stadium, perhaps believing a high-profile move could help in his pursuit for a call-up to the senior England national team set-up having represented the Under 21 side on eight occasions.
Even though Southampton have started the current campaign in solid fashion the allure of a move to table topping Arsenal and a return to London could well lead to Clyne considering a move to leaving the Saints.
