Serie A champions Juventus have now joined a whole host of big-name Premier League clubs in the race to sign in-demand Real Madrid wide man Angel Di Maria when the winter transfer window opens again for business in the new year, according to reports on talkSPORT.co.uk.
The brilliant Argentina international has found himself the subject of fevered speculation of late linking him with an exit from the Santiago Bernabeu come the end of this current campaign following the arrival of playmaker Gareth Bale in the Spanish capital last summer, with the Welshman joining from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur in a world-record transfer worth a whopping 100 million euros.
And it is Bale’s signing by los Blancos that has led many to speculate that Di Maria will soon be on his way out, with the player very nearly even joining Premier League leaders Arsenal on transfer deadline day, only for the 25-year-old to reject the chance to move to north London.
However, despite registering five goals and nine assists in total in just 21 matches in all competitions so far this season for the La Liga giants , including two strikes and four assists in his 15 league outings for the club, Real are still expected to offload Di Maria in the summer.
And now Juve look like going head to head with the Gunners, as well as Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, in the battle to sign the South American.
