Both top-flight outfits have been tracking the prolific marksman of late.
Everton are set to go head to head with Premier League leaders Arsenal in the battle to land highly rated young Standard Liege front man Michy Batshuayi in the January transfer window, according to reports in the Daily Mail.

The north London club have been known to be keeping close tabs on the exciting Belgium Under-21 international for some time now, with it understood that Gunners head coach Arsene Wenger would make his own move for Batshuayi this month.
However, the Frenchman may now have to speed up his plans to lure the striker to the Emirates after news of the Merseysiders own interest in the player emerged.
The Toffees, who already have two Belgiums on their books in the form of on-loan Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku and midfielder Kevin Mirallas, are believed to have been scouting the 20-year-old on numerous occasions of late, and with Everton manager Roberto Martinez said to have received glowing reports back on Batshuayi, the club are expected to now make a move for the player.
Batshuayi has managed to register an impressive 18 goals and six assists in total in just 37 matches in all competitions for both club and country so far in this campaign.
