64 year old Gunners boss Wenger has apparently already agreed a deal to extend his contract, which was due to come to an end in the summer, a move that will see the Frenchman clock up over 20 years in charge of the North London club.
However Arsenal are waiting until they have sealed deals with Mertesacker and Sagna before revealing the news in a package.
29 year old German Mertesacker, who has been in outstanding form this season, will put pen to paper on a long term deal that will run until 2017 but moves to tie down Sagna are a little trickier.
Sagna, who has turned 30, will only be offered a rolling one year deal as is club policy and the French right-back has apparently attracted the attention of PSG, Real Madrid, Monaco, Bayern Munich and Galatasary, with an apparent four year deal on offer.
As such it may take a massive offer to convince the former Auxerre man to stay at the Emirates Stadium but the club hope to secure all three contracts in the coming weeks and the fact that Arsenal are sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League will only aid them in this pursuit.
