Premier League leaders Arsenal still retain an interest in out-of-favour Juventus forward Mirko Vucinic, however, the north London club only want to sign the experienced Montenegrin on a short-term loan deal though rather than on a permanent contract, according to reports in the Mail on Sunday.

The Gunners have been on the look out for a new front man for some time now following a raft of untimely injuries to a number of their attacking players of late, including the likes of Theo Walcott, Nicklas Bendtner and Olivier Giroud.
And one of the strikers that Gunners head coach Arsene Wenger is understood to currently be looking at is Juve’s Montenegro international, with the club’s chief transfer negotiator Dick Law having been in contact with the Old Lady of Italian Football recently to ascertain whether they would be interested in offloading the 30-year-old this month.
However, despite Vucinic’s agent Alessandro Lucci being ready to fly to London this week to begin negotiations over such a move, there remains a stumbling block in that Arsenal are just interested in taking the player on a six-month loan deal until the summer, whereas the Serie A champions are only willing for the attacker to leave for a fee of £10m.
“We are looking at potential possibilities to get someone in but we are not especially interested in Vucinic,” claimed Wenger in his post-match press conference following the club’s 2-0 home win over Fulham at the Emirates on Saturday.
“I would love to announce to you something that would excite you but I don’t have the opportunity to do so.”
