Gunners boss Arsene Wenger could well do with strengthening his Emirates Stadium attack, not least with Nicklas Bendtner and Theo Walcott both out injured, and a move for the teenage Italian would certainly adhere to his youthful transfer policy.

The 19 year old is on a season long loan spell at minnows Sassuolo and has been a huge hit.

Berardi has racked up 11 goals in 15 Serie A appearances, culminating in a four goal blitz against AC Milan on the weekend, which has left Wenger looking to snap up the forward.

Juventus signed Berardi from Sassuolo last September but may be ready to consider offers for the starlet in order to balance the books following their inability to secure a path to the last 16 of the Champions League.

Given that Antonio Conte brought in Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente to boost his attack last summer he may feel he can afford to cash in on Berardi, especially as currently the Juventus boss can call also call upon Mirko Vucinic, Sebastian Giovinco and Fabio Quagliarella as back-up options.
