With the Merseyside giants now seemingly back challenging at the top of English football again, we select five players that Reds head coach Brendan Rodgers should try to lure to Anfield this summer in order to take the club to the next level …
Alberto Moreno (Sevilla)
Left back has been a problem area at Anfield for some time now, and this season manager Brendan Rodgers has been forced to utilise a number of different players in the role, including both right-backs Glen Johnson and Jon Flanagan.
And while neither of those two Englishman have let the Northern Irishman down, Rodgers would prefer to play them in their natural slots, and as result, will definitely be on the lookout for a new left back come the summer.
However, Rodgers should look no further than Sevilla’s highly rated young Spain international to fill the void given the excellent campaign the 21-year-old has had in Southern Spain so far this season, with his eye-catching technique and ability to bomb forward skills that would be welcomed on Merseyside.
