Anfield forward could be keen on Liberty Stadium switch.
Check in to West Ham United vs Liverpool
Liverpool forward Iago Aspas has struggled to impress this term and may well be sold in the summer with Swansea City now said to be taking a keen interest in the Spaniard according to Football Direct News.
Having moved to Anfield in an £8m switch from Celta Vigo, and impressing in pre-season, the 26 year old has failed to net in 13 Premier League appearances and may not be seen by Brendan Rodgers as a viable back-up option to in-form strike-pair Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge.
An offer from the Liberty Stadium may well be considered and a move to the Swansea City could well help to revive Aspas’s career.
La Liga pair Sevilla and Valencia are also keen on Aspas but perhaps he feels a move to another Premier League side would best suit his career.
Swansea City boss Garry Monk would look to Aspas to support an attack that has impressive Ivory Coast forward Wilfried Bony leading the line and could perhaps see the Liverpool man as a supporting striker, though clearly the Welsh side also have Michu to fill such a role.
Indeed a move to Swansea City could prove a home away from home with Aspas being lined up to be the latest in a long line of Spaniards to move to the club with the likes of Jordi Amat, Chico Flores, Jose Canas, Pablo Hernandez, Angel Rangel, Alejandro Pozuelo and Michu part of a strong Spanish contingent in Monk’s squad.
