Emirates Stadium superstar delighted with first campaign with Arsenal and thanks fans for their support.

Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil has stated his happiness with the way his debut campaign in north London has gone.

The Germany superstar was signed by the Gunners for a club record fee on transfer deadline day last summer, and initially shone before the lack of a winter break caught up with him.

Ozil’s games in the new year were clearly affected by fatigue, and the press soon began to criticise his drop in form.

Just when the 25 year-old looked back to his best – helping Arsenal to a 4-1 victory over Everton with an influential performance at Emirates Stadium – his campaign was interrupted by injury.

A hamstring issue saw him miss much of the last month, and the Gunners’ form suffered, but Ozil is back to help with the run-in as Arsene Wenger and his men chase fourth place in the Premier League and a first trophy in nine years with the FA Cup final.

Ozil posted the following status to social network Facebook to thank the fans for their support and urge Arsenal on in their final weeks:

“Dear fans,
I’m still happy about the fact that I was able to play last sunday for Arsenal. and we even won 3:0. I think that we are on the way up after a rather difficult time…
there are only two goals for the rest of the season: to be among the first four of the Premier League and to win my first title this year in the UK – the F.A. Cup! all we need is 4 x 90 minutes of full concentration and then it’s all in our hands.
I can’t wait to play for the first time in Wembley as a Gunner after missing the semi final due to my injury.
herewith I want to thank all who supported me during the last weeks – especially you! I constantly followed your comments on Facebook. I was really happy about all the get well soon wishes during these difficult moments.
Your Mesut”

Mesut Ozil could very well play a crucial role in the remainder of Arsenal’s season.
