Juventus will go into the first leg boosted by the news that striker Carlos Tevez is available again after overcoming a muscle injury that ruled him out of the club’s past two Serie A games.
The Argentine will look to score his first goal in the competition since 2009 and his return couldn’t be better timed as midfielder Arturo Vidal misses out with a knee problem.
Benfica coach Jorge Jesus will be without Eduardo Salvio for the clash, as the Argentinian attacking midfielder fractured a bone in his arm at the weekend.
They will also be without Serbian defensive midfielder Ljubomir Fejsa, who is out with a tendon injury.
Benfica are unbeaten at home in all competitions this season and will hope to extend that run as they prepare to travel to Turin, the site of this year’s final, next week.
