Paris Saint-Germain skipper Zlatan Ibrahimovic was rightly voted as the Ligue 1 Player of the Year for his sensational exploits for the champions, although the Swede’s acceptance speech was greeted with much laughter by his team-mates.
Ibra has just enjoyed yet another eye-catching campaign during which the 32-year-old managed to register a sensational 25 goals and 16 assists in his 32 league outings for Laurent Blanc’s expensively assembled outfit.
However, despite being fluent in five languages, French is clearly not one of those, at least judging by the reaction of both Salvatore Sirigu and Marco Verratti to the striker’s acceptance speech on Sunday night.
