Forward is contracted to the Liberty Stadium until 2017.
Liverpool are set to join both Arsenal and Everton in the race to sign prolific Swansea City front man Wilfried Bony for next season, according to reports in the Sunday Mirror.
The Merseyside giants have just finished the latest Premier League season as runners-up to champions Manchester City and as such will now be competing in the Uefa Champions League in the following campaign for the first time in five years.
However, taking part in Europe’s premier club competition will though mean more matches for the Reds to play going forward and so head coach Brendan Rodgers now knows that he will need more strength in depth this summer, including in attack too where the Northern Irishman is said to be worried about the extra workload set to be placed on the shoulders of both strikers Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge.
And so Rodgers is now planning on making a bid of £20m for the Ivory Coast international, 25, who netted 17 goals in 34 Premier League games for the Swans last season.
