The experienced France international’s current contract with the north London club runs out at the end of June and despite he and his advisers having been locked together in face-to-face negotiations with the Gunners hierarchy for over a year now, it seems like Sagna is on the verge of ending his seven-year stay at the Emirates.
Arsenal have gone against their own club-wide policy by offering the 31-year-old a three-year deal, while the club have also raised their financial incentive to £80,000 per week in order to try to persuade the player to finish his career in the capital.
