The Northern Irishman, who has just put pen to paper on a new long-term deal with the Merseyside giants, is said to already be busy drawing up a list of possible transfer targets for the club’s managing director Ian Ayre to go after this summer.
And one of those is believed to be that of the Swans’ highly rated Netherlands international, a player who Rodgers actually brought to the Liberty Stadium in the first place while he was in charge of the Swans, with Vorm being bought from Eredivisie outfit Utrecht in a deal worth just £1.5m in the summer of 2011.
Rodgers is said to now want more competition for his current No 1 Simon Mignolet at Anfield next season, with the Belgium international himself having only arrived on Merseyside from Sunderland last summer in a deal worth £9m.
Vorm, 30, has a contract in the Principality that runs until the end of June 2016.
