The news comes after manager Brendan Rodgers put pen-to-paper on a new deal that will keep him at the club until 2018, and Suarez has said that he intends to stay on and fight for the Premier League title next term.
Many interpreted Suarez’s tears after the draw with Crystal Palace as him conceding that his chance to lift the title with the Reds was over, with reports saying Real Madrid are poised to table a £100m offer for Suarez, who signed a lucrative long-term deal at Liverpool in December, when he promised to stay at the club ‘for a very long time’.
However, Madrid have insisted that there will be no bid for Suarez should they manage to convince current striker Karim Benzema to commit his future to the club this summer.
The France striker, believed to be a target for Arsenal, is demanding a huge pay rise but the European champions are hopeful of reaching an agreement with the 26-year-old before the World Cup.
But Anfield insiders have said that Suarez has told his teammates that he will be sticking with the Reds next term, claims further backed by the news that the striker and his wife have even enrolled their daughter in a school in the area.
