The 26 year old Danish international forced his way back into the Gunners first team set-up in 2013/14, chiefly as Arsene Wenger had opted to not bring in much needed back-up options to Olivier Giroud and youngster Yaya Sanogo, and netted two goals.
There is said to be interest across Europe but Bendtner may be keen on remaining in England though Newcastle United will insist that the giant forward takes a pay-cut.
Bendtner is said to earn £52k a week at the Emirates Stadium whilst the Magpies are willing to hand the Arsenal man a two year deal on a reduced £40k a week salary.
Alan Pardew is desperate to bring in some much needed attacking reinforcements with Shola Ameobi set to leave, and loanees Loic Remy and Luuk de Jong set to return to QPR and Borussia Monchengladbach respectively.
