Old Trafford side to make huge offer for PSG forward.
Man United are readying a massive bid for PSG forward Edinson Cavani according to the Daily Star.
Incoming Old Trafford boss Louis van Gaal is looking to conduct a major overhaul of his squad and has earmarked a British transfer record bid of £56m for the 27 year old Uruguayan.

Cavani is said to be unsettled in the French capital, unhappy with his wide attacking role and not keen on playing second fiddle to Swede Zlatan Ibrahimovic though PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has stated the Ligue 1 side have no intention of selling the powerful striker.
Despite his reported unhappiness Cavani did manage to net 25 goals in all competitions last term though one wonders quite where the former Napoli man would fit into van Gaal’s attacking plans.
Even if van Gaal did consider offers for back-up options Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez it’s not immediately clear just how the Man United manager could use Cavani as well as Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney.
Prior to his move to the Parc des Princes Cavani scored an astonishing 104 goals in three seasons in Naples and is rightly considered one of the best strikers in world football.
Having seen fellow countryman Luis Suarez impress in the English top tier may well act as further motivation for Cavani’s potential move to the Premier League.
