The forward is said to be keen on a move back to the Premier League and in particular to London an whilst Balotelli had originally set his sights on reuniting with his former Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho at Chelsea the 23 year old now looks set for a move to the Emirates Stadium.
Wenger will meet Balotelli’s agent Mino Raiola who will look to secure a £150k a week deal for his client and is confident he can persuade the Gunners to meet his demands.
Despite talk of Balotelli’s ‘troubled’ time back at the San Siro the former Man City man has bagged a healthy total of 30 goals in 54 appearances for AC Milan, a goal return that is all the more impressive when you consider how bad a time of it the Rossoneri have had of it of late.
The Italian giants could only manage an eighth place finish in Serie A last season and Filippo Inzaghi has taken over from axed boss Clarence Seedorf and is open to cashing in on Balotelli.
Wenger is keen to strengthen an attack that overly relies upon Olivier Giroud and Balotelli may be the ideal man for the job.
