After being eliminated at the group stage of a World Cup for the first time since 1958, it’s little wonder that the England squad have taken some serious ridicule.
BBC comedy panel programme Mock the Week took the opportunity to dub over a Three Lions training session, with manager Roy Hodgson, Wayne Rooney of Manchester United and Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard in for particular mocking.
Expect a lot more of this as the nation prepares to fly home following their final Group D game with Costa Rica on Tuesday.
