Father in-law backs the striker to shine in La Liga as well.
Luis Suarez’s father-in-law believes that the time has come for the Uruguayan striker to leave Liverpool and force a move through to Barcelona or Real Madrid this summer.
“It is the right time for a change. He has nothing left to prove in England,” Gustavo Balbi was quoted by the Daily Mail.
“The best solution would be if he were to go to Spain. We would like to have them close to us in Spain but it does not matter which team he signs for (Real Madrid or Barcelona). He would do very well over here.”
The former Ajax star was angling for a move away from Anfield last summer, but chose to stay on and sign a new long term deal before stunning English fans with his astounding tally of 31 goals in just 37 games.
He is however thought to be excited by the thought of playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world in Barca and Madrid, both of who are readying offers close to £100 million for his services this summer.
Although the Reds now have some breathing space to negotiate transfer terms after having had him commit to a new deal last season, there is believed to be a £70 million release clause in the striker’s contract for clubs outside of England.
