“These things happen,” says deluded Liverpool striker.
Liverpool and Uruguay badman Luis Suarez has told the press that there is ‘no need to make a story’ out of him biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini.
The 27-year-old chomped on the Juventus star’s shoulder during Uruguay’s 1-0 win over the Azzuri at the FIFA World Cup on Tuesday.
Suarez has now bitten three opponents during his senior playing career, with his previous victims being PSV Eindhoven’s Dutch midfielder Otman Bakkal and Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.
However, Suarez has denied deliberately biting Chiellini.
In the video below, he says: “These situations arise on the pitch, I’ve collided with his shoulder.
“It drove me a little crazy too, but these things happen on the pitch. There’s no need to make a story out of it.”
