Unimpressed Newcastle fans hijack #ThanksDebuchy hashtag.
Check in to Netherlands vs Costa Rica
Newcastle United right-back Mathieu Debuchy is poised to join Arsenal this summer after the Gunners had a £7.9m bid accepted, according to The Metro.
Debuchy, 28, signed for Newcastle from Lille 18-months ago and has made 43 Premier League appearances for the Magpies.
Some grateful Newcastle attempted to pay a positive tribute to Debuchy on Twitter, but the hashtag #ThanksDebuchy was swiftly hijacked by bitter supporters, who used it take digs at the France international.
Below are some of the #ThanksDebuchy highlights.
Be warned that some of the tweets contain offensive language.
