3) 2008/09 away kit
A throwback to an away kit from the late 1980s, but not the most attractive of second strips here for Liverpool. This all-grey effort seems a bit boring and not like anything the Merseyside giants have worn many times before, but it is at least remembered fondly now for the kit worn here by Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres in a superb 4-1 thrashing of Manchester United at Old Trafford. Something seemed to work for Liverpool though, as they enjoyed a good season, just finishing second to United after running them close for the title.
