Liverpool look set to explode into life in the transfer market, with a number of deals seemingly imminent, but one link that may go under the radar is that of teenage midfielder Lyes Houri from French club Valenciennes, with newspaper reports in the player’s homelands suggesting that he could be set to move to Anfield.

The 18 year-old is considered to be the finest young player at Valenciennes, but with the player yet to sign a professional contract at the club it seems as though the Reds could be set to take advantage of the situation and snare themselves a bargain.

Valenciennes were also relegated to Ligue 2 last season after finishing 19th in the French top flight, meaning that Houri could be even more likely to be seduced by the bright lights of Anfield.

Not a great deal is known of Houri, other than that he plies his trade in midfield, with the teenager yet to make his senior league bow for Valenciennes.

Despite this, however, his signing would continue a trend that has been set by Brendan Rodgers and Liverpool in recent years – that of continuing to add talented young players from across Europe to the academy set-up at Melwood.
