Liverpool have kicked off their pre-seasons International Champions Cup campaign with a win in Chicago, thanks to an early goal by winger Raheem Sterling.
The England international scored the only goal of the game inside five minutes when he guided a mishit shot by Daniel Sturridge past the Olympiakos goalkeeper.
The game was an even one from this point in, with Liverpool ‘keeper Brad Jones required to be sharp on a number of occasions to keep out of the Greek side.
