Despite Rodgers recruiting seven new players already this summer, they are yet to replace the one major name that has left the club. Liverpool’s move for Lambert was complimented as a shrewd piece of business, a smart move for a player that could play a useful back-up role. However, Lambert is no Luis Suarez, and he will not score 31 Premier League goals next season. The club still need a new striker this summer.
