Liverpool look set to shed another member of their squad, with experienced centre back Kolo Toure about to complete a move to Turkish side Trabzonspor according to reports from the Mail.

The experienced former Arsenal and Manchester City man played a number of games for Brendan Rodgers’ side last season, but made a few crucial errors and is likely to have been pushed back in the pecking order for a place in the Liverpool defence by the arrival of £20m man Dejan Lovren from Southampton.

The fee believed to have been offered by Trabzonspor is £1.5m, with club president Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu extremely confident of securing a deal for the Ivory Coast international:

“We have agreed terms with Kolo Toure and we will bring him to the club.”

Toure, however, is believed to be slightly less certain of his future, and played for the Reds in a behind closed door friendly against Burnley on Monday evening.

Traditionally the fourth biggest club in Turkey, Trabzonspor have already done business with Liverpool this summer, signing young striker Semad Yesil on a loan deal.

Toure would be a bigger coup for the club, however, and they will be keen to force through a deal in the coming days.
