Breaking: Luis Suarez’s Four Month Ban Upheld By Court Of Arbitration For Sport, But Barcelona Signing Now Allowed To Train

Suarez can’t play until October…

Luis Suarez’s four month ban has been upheld by the Court of Arbitration For Sport (CAS).

However, the Uruguayan will be allowed to train with Barcelona, which he was previously not allowed to do so until the end of his ban.

The Uruguayan striker infamously bit Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini during the World Cup in Brazil, and FIFA banned him from all forms of the game for four months as a result.

This didn’t stop Barcelona spending £75m on the forward from Liverpool, although the maverick attacker wasn’t even allowed to be unveiled at the Nou Camp…

Suarez decided to appeal FIFA’s decision to CAS, but following the rejection, it doesn’t look like Barcelona fans will see their star forward until the weekend of October 25th, when Barca are sensationally set to face Real Madrid, in what would be one of the most highly anticipated debuts of all time.
