Liverpool hope’s of landing a big-name striker this summer have suffered another blow with the news that Juventus are heading the list of potential suitors for AS Monaco forward Radamel Falcao.

The Daily Mail believe that the Italian giants are chasing the signature of the Colombian on loan, and are willing to sell Fernando Llorente to make room in their squad for the former Porto and Atletico Madrid hit-man.

These latest developments follow the story we brought you yesterday, that Liverpool’s hopes of signing PSG’s Uruguyan forward Edinson Cavani look to have been dashed by an injury to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Reds’ manager Brendan Rodgers has already brought in eight players this season, but is still keen on adding a ninth to replace the departed Luis Suarez, who joined Barcelona in a £75m deal earlier this summer.

However, he has so far found the arrival of a marquee centre forward difficult to force through, despite Real Madrid withdrawing their interest in Falcao earlier this week.

Unfortunately for Liverpool, Juventus are still keen on adding further to their strike force, which already includes the likes of Carlos Tevez and Alvaro Morata.
