Arsenal have informed Turkish giants Galatasaray that Lukas Podolski is for sale this summer, but have warned them off a deal for youngster Joel Campbell, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Gunners have added Alexis Sanchez to their attack over the summer, bringing in the Chilean forward from Barcelona for around £35m, and this could severely limit Podolski’s first-team opportunities in the side this term.
Despite impressing at the Emirates Stadium since signing from Cologne two years ago, the German international was in and out of Arsene Wenger’s side last season, and his high wages of £100,000 per week may be tempting the club to offload him before the end of this summer.
Galatasarsay have supposedly shown the strongest interest, while Serie A duo AC Milan and Inter Milan are also said to be monitoring his situation in the final weeks of the transfer window.
Joel Campbell has also emerged as a possbly target for the Turks, with the Costa Rica starlet impressing for his country at this summer’s World Cup, though it seems Wenger is keen to include him in his first-team plans this season after sending the player out on loan for the last three seasons.
