Red Devils will make £24m bid for Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho
After Wednesday night’s 4-0 humiliation against MK Dons in the Capital One Cup, van Gaal has decided to shake things up in his midfield.
The Telegraph reports that the 63-year-old has turned back to his former target Carvalho in a £24m move and offload Tom Cleverley and Shinji Kagawa as a result.
The 22-year-old has been strongly linked with a move from Sporting this summer and Wenger is also thought to be interested in the Portugal international.
