Blues looking to replace AC Milan bound Fernando Torres.

Chelsea have enquired about the availability of striker Loic Remy from fierce local rivals Queens Park Rangers, report the Mail, with Jose Mourinho looking to replace Fernando Torres as his move to AC Milan moves ever closer.
France international Remy has surprisingly remained at Loftus Road throughout the course of the summer, despite a prolific season on loan at Newcastle United in 2013/14 and seeing a prospective move to Liverpool mysteriously collapse at the 11th hour.
Remy is yet to get himself on the scoresheet for Rangers so far this season but, having proven his Premier League capabilities at St. James’ Park, Jose Mourinho seems to see the former Marseille star as a prospective replacement for Torres, having extolled the virtues of having three senior strikers to pick from, despite playing with just one natural frontman.
The Blues have received a boost with the news that first choice centre forward Diego Costa’s injury isn’t as serious as first feared and that he should be available to face Everton this weekend, but the Spaniard is notoriously injury prone and Mourinho is unlikely to see the ageing Didier Drogba as sufficient cover through the winter months.
It is believed that Remy has a clause in his contract allowing him to join Champions League sides for a cut-price fee and it would appear as though Chelsea chiefs are seeking to take advantage in a move that is sure to anger fans of QPR.
