Roy Hodgson will have some thinking to do in attack as he faces the blow of losing star striker Daniel Sturridge to injury, with Arsenal new-boy Danny Welbeck likely to come in alongside captain Wayne Rooney upfront.

England were unconvincing in their friendly victory against Norway, leaving it late to win 1-0 courtesy of a Rooney penalty, though Hodgson named a slightly experimental side with a number of young players.

One highly promising starlet, Raheem Sterling, should, however, keep his place in the team as the Three Lions will be desperate to kick off their quest to qualify for Euro 2016 with a win.

England are in something of a rebuilding process at the moment following the retirement from international duty of influential pair Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard, and this will no doubt be one of the tougher games of their qualifying group, with patience needed for this struggling side.
