The £32m summer signing from Atletico Madrid has netted in each of his three appearances, with a total of four goals to his name so far this season, following on from the fine form he showed in La Liga last season.
The award for Costa is certainly well deserved, and he looks likely to go down as one of the best signings of the summer if he can continue this form, with Jose Mourinho’s side now considered title favourites after his arrival.
The Spaniard will also be among the main favourites to win the Premier League Golden Boot at the end of the season, with his four goal haul currently putting him top of the scoring charts in the English top flight.
Elsewhere, Swansea City manager Garry Monk was made as Manager of the Month after his side’s superb unbeaten start to the campaign.
