Reds face competition for Bayern Munich winger.Liverpool could face competition from Juventus for the signing of unsettled Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri this January, according to Fichajes.net.
The highly-rated Swiss international was strongly linked with a move to Anfield for much of the summer transfer window, though a move never materialised as Brendan Rodgers’ side instead brought in a number of other players in the attacking midfield positions.
However, it had also been expected that Liverpool would revive their interest in Shaqiri when the transfer window re-opened at the turn of the year, though other clubs are now also hot on his trail.
The 22-year-old has not managed to establish himself as a regular since moving to Bayern from FC Basel, where he had established himself as one of the most promising young players in Europe.
Shaqiri faces plenty of competition for places in the Bayern team, with so many other world class attacking players also part of Pep Guardiola’s squad, and he may now look to leave for regular first-team football.
Juventus are one of a number of clubs thought to be keen on him, and may be favourites to snap him up as new manager Massimiliano Allegri is a big fan of the player.
