2) Luis Suarez v Patrice Evra (Liverpool & Manchester United)
In 2011 Suarez was charged with, and found guilty of, racially abusing Evra. He was fined £40,000 and banned for 8 games. It was his first major incident as a Liverpool player, and was a major factor in his subsequently poor reputation among many Premier League fans. The next time the two met, Suarez appeared to avoid Evra’s hand, leading to the Frenchman grabbing his opponent’s arm. Suarez ignored Evra and continued down the line, causing Evra to throw his arms up in protest.
