Tiago Ilori heads a leveler for Bordeaux at St. Etienne in Ligue 1.
One of a number of Liverpool players to be spending this season out on loan somewhere across Europe is central defensive Tiago Ilori, who has begun the campaign in inspired form for Bordeaux as they have started brightly under former Bayern Munich defender Willy Sagnol.

The former Sporting Lisbon youngster has been extremely solid defensively at the imposing home of St. Etienne, who are approaching one calendar year since they were last beaten on home soil, indicating that he could’ve done a job back at Anfield, with the Reds struggling for defensive solidity despite the introduction of Dejan Lovren.
Ilori has also made an imapct at the other end, heading in an equaliser for Sagnol’s side at the far post after a corner had been half-cleared and then a scuffed volley back in found its way to Ilori, with a St. Etienne player failing to come off the line to play him offside.
