In the 2001/02 season Arteta spent a season on loan at PSG from Barcelona B, a time when Pochettino was the captain of the French side.
The Arsenal captain has claimed that Pochettino was like a father figure whilst he was at PSG, and that he had a huge hand in his development both on and off the pitch; with the Argentine reciprocating the feelings.
“I love Mikel Arteta. He was like my brother. My son? No, my brother! I know that he is now on the other side, the big sporting enemy but I love Mikel because he is a great person. I’ve known him for a long time,” the Spurs manager said.
This comes ahead of the North London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham, so all feelings of friendship and brotherly love will go out the window.
