The 20 year old Brazilian moved to the Primeira Liga this summer has been a huge success in the Portuguese capital, netting six goals in his opening seven appearances, and is now the subject of growing interest from across Europe.
Talisca is now on the fringes of the senior Brazilian national team set-up and is apparently also being targeted by Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.
Wenger may well feel he could strengthen his attack, especially with youngsters Joel Campbell and Yaya Sanogo failing to force their way into the Arsenal starting eleven.
Talisca reportedly has an £18m release clause that could tempt Wenger, though the Arsenal manager is of course not well known for forking out huge sums for less than household names.
Gunners scouts were present for Benfica’s 4-0 win over Arouca on Sunday night.
