The San Siro side started the season brightly, racking up seven goals against Sassuolo, but the club have suffered recent back to back defeats against Cagliari and Fiorentina and boss Walter Mazzarri is looking to strengthen his attack.

Mazzarri wants to lure Lukas Podolski and Joel Campbell to join his Nerazzurri ranks, with neither player having secured a single Premier League start this term.

29 year old German international Podolski will surely be worried about his role at the Emirates Stadium following the summer acquisitions of Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez.

Campbell was drafted into the Arsenal first team set-up after successful loan spells in France, Spain and Greece but has managed just 16 minutes of Premier League action.

No doubt the Costa Rican international came to Inter’s attention following his display against Italy during the 2014 World Cup finals, where the youngster netted the winning goal.
