According to Fichajes.com, the veteran striker, who has just signed for New York Cosmos, rates Draxler highly and hopes the Spanish giants can win the race for his signature against the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.

The talented 21-year-old is widely regarded as one of the most promising young players in world football at the moment, and could move for around £37m due to a release clause in his contract with the German club.

Madrid are known for buying some of the biggest stars in the world for huge transfer fees, and Draxler’s immense ability and potential could see him fit well into that category, though the club are already well stocked in the attacking midfield department.

Still, Raul rates Draxler as a must-buy after playing alongside him in a short spell with Schalke after leaving Real Madrid in 2010, though it remains to be seen if Real will take the advice of the Spaniard.

Draxler has two goals and two assists in eleven appearances for Schalke this season.
