Yet Another Blow For Arsenal As Arsene Wenger Reveals Jack Wilshere Injury

The England international was expected to return for the fixture on Saturday following a ban, but the French manager has revealed that the tenacious midfielder has taken a kick to the knee and will more than likely be sidelined.

This is a huge blow to the Gunners who already have a number of stars out injured, but Wenger will be hoping that despite his side missing a number of key players they should be more than capable of dispatching relegation candidates Burnley.

Their defence is it’s main worry at the moment, with the squad already lacking in numbers before the season even started. With the injuries to Laurent Koscielny and Mathieu Debuchy the back line is looking extremely stretched, natural left-back Nacho Monreal often having to fill in at centre-back.

If Kieran Gibbs is unable to recover from a knock to play in this weekend’s fixture, then the Gunners will have just four fit defenders and will be one injury away from a huge crisis.
