Eriksen and Capoue also woeful against superior Stoke.

Tottenham Hotspur suffered their fifth Premier League defeat of the season on Sunday as they were beaten 2-1 by Stoke City at White Hart Lane.

Stoke were 2-0 up by half time thanks to goals from Bojan Krkic and Jonathan Walters.

Spurs were given hope of a comeback when Nacer Chadli smashed in his sixth league goal of the season on 77 minutes.

However, an equaliser, which would have been thoroughly undeserved, never came.

Tottenham ended the game with 10 men, after right-back Kyle Naughton was shown a straight red card in the dying moments.

Here’s how Mauricio Pochettino’s men rated…

GK: Hugo Lloris – 6/10

No heroics from Lloris today. The Frenchman was beaten by two of Stoke’s three shots on target. However, neither goal was the result of a mistake from the Spurs stopper.

RB: Kyle Naughton – 6/10

Made more tackles – nine – than any other player on the pitch. However, his decent performance was ruined late on when he was sent off for a professional foul on Victor Moses.
