Barca still in the hunt for top Chelsea target.
Barcelona are not giving up on signing Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus next summer, despite growing speculation that the German international is heading for a move to Chelsea.
According to Fichajes.net, the Catalan giants are still determined to land the 25-year-old for around £20m next summer as they aim to beat other top clubs to his signature.
Various claims suggest that Reus’ future is close to being resolved as he ponders an exit from his current club, with Chelsea supposedly working on a deal to bring him to Stamford Bridge, possibly involving Andre Schurrle moving to Dortmund in the other direction as part of a swap deal.
Still, the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are still believed to be in the running to snap Reus up when his release clause comes into effect at the end of this season, and it may still be some time before his next destination is revealed.
It seems unlikely that Reus will remain with Dortmund as he stalls on signing a new contract with the club to extend his stay beyond 2016, and Barcelona will hope to pounce as they look to continue rebuilding their squad next season.
