CB) Martin Skrtel
One of the first names on the Liverpool teamsheet, and in no danger of losing his place here, with Mamadou Sakho still sidelined as he recovers from injury.
CB) Kolo Toure
The remaining centre back slot will therefore be between Toure and Dejan Lovren. The Ivorian was in fine form at the weekend, and was arguably the man of the match as Liverpool beat Stoke, and would be very hard done by to lose his place here.
DM) Lucas Leiva
Another strong performer against Stoke, the Brazilian midfielder has done a good job of offering more security to Liverpool’s leaky back line in recent weeks, and deserves another start here.
